Kevin was born in Los Angeles, where he already excelled at sports at Immaculate Heart of Mary School in 7th and 8th grades. The Schomisch family relocated to Chagrin Falls, Ohio in the 1970’s, and Kevin was a star athlete at CFHS, receiving many accolades for his performance in the high jump, where he held the school record for years, (photo above shows record jump of 6’2”), but also being a star member of the football and basketball teams. Kevin started his career in Cleveland and would later move his family to Maine. Kevin ran his own company in Biddeford, Maine, "Kevin the Handyman" and was well-liked and respected by his employees and customers. He put others before himself, always being the first to step up and offer assistance in any situation. Kevin is survived by many family (including four children and five grandchildren) and friends, who have made generous donations to honor Kevin with this scholarship.
The Scholarship Committee would like to recognize a graduating senior who excels at athletics and puts others before themselves.
