Chagrin Falls High School - Common Scholarship Application

The Chagrin Falls Alumni Association, Chagrin Falls Boosters Club, Chagrin Falls Historical Society, Chagrin Falls Music Lovers, Chagrin Falls Education Association, CFHS Class of 1974,  CFHS Class of 1981, Friends of the Chagrin Library, Family & Friends of Gerry Stueber, Dentistry at Winbury, Tiger Prep, Friends & Family of Kevin Schomisch, Golden Gate Masonic Lodge, the Kruse Family Foundation, the Michael Murphy's Never Ending Story Scholarship, Battles & Hurst Memorial Scholarship, and the Geoff Lynch Memorial Scholarship  have created a common scholarship application.

All seniors are encouraged to apply.  You can earn scholarships from more than one organization, so we encourage you to apply for multiple scholarships.

Applications are due no later than Friday, January 31st.

Once your application is turned in the organizations will screen the applications and select candidates for an interview. The CFAA, Chagrin Falls Historical Society, and Boosters will hold their interviews Saturday, March 16th.  The other organizations will interview applicants on a date to be determined.  Due to the number of applicants, the applications will be screened beforehand and the organizations will notify you if you have been selected for an interview.  Some organizations may not do an interview and will base their decision on the application.  The evaluation process considers the student’s entire high school career and requires the completion of the application and an interview.  Scholarship recipients will be announced at the Spring Honors Ceremony.   The date of the ceremony is Tuesday, May 20th.  You  will get a letter in the mail if you are invited to the ceremony.

For those applying to the Tiger Prep scholarship, you only need to complete the form for Tiger Prep on their page.  This scholarship is geared for students on an IEP or 504 plan or students that are involved with Tiger Perks and Tiger Connect..  The due date of Jan. 31st. also applies for this scholarship.

ALL applicants must complete the general application.  Afterwards you will complete the essay prompt(s) for each organization separately.

To assist you, we recommend that you do the essays on a Google Doc and paste them in to prevent any loss and to allow you to properly edit your responses.

The organizations recommend you spend considerable time on each prompt.  The essays represent who you are and should be done in manner that show the pride you have in yourself.

You must complete the below general information form.  This will go to all the organizations you will be applying to.
