This webinar provided an overview of the resources, workflows and engagement strategies developed during the past 2 years by the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT to support the publication of scientific data on Dataverse.
Presenters
Maria Garruccio - Maria manages the Information and Research Support Services at the Alliance Bioversity-CIAT. Alongside supporting staff with their research and information needs, her responsibilities also extend to the management of research data. Maria is actively involved in data management issues and works primarily on data curation, repository management and building capacity in data management best practices.
Tom Hazekamp - Tom is a consultant with a background in Plant Genetic Resources and Data Management. He has over 25 years of experience working with CGIAR.
Leroy Mwanzia - Leroy works with Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT as a member of a team looking at organization-wide data governance, data and information management, and statistics services. One of the primary focuses of this team is how to organize and use data as a strategic asset in international agricultural research. Leroy is passionate about leveraging data and information technology not just to understand, but also to solve societal challenges. He has been instrumental in building data-based ICT solutions for the public and private sector, and international research organizations in various industries ranging from Agriculture, Health, Education, and Trade.
