SAT/ACT Testing Information

TIPS:

• You must take the SAT or ACT at least once if you want to apply to a four-year college.   More & more colleges are returning to requiring an SAT or ACT test score.

• Don’t wait until it’s too late for admissions deadlines!  Colleges must RECEIVE your official score report BEFORE their application deadline.

• The Registration DEADLINE for the SAT & ACT tests is 11:59 pm EASTERN STANDARD TIME (subtract an hour!!!)

• Students sometimes perform better on one test over the other, so it is a good idea to take both tests.  Then you can decide where to focus your test prep efforts!

• Free/Reduced Lunch Students: you qualify for a testing fee waiver so you won’t have to pay to take the test! (See your counselor for an ACT Fee Waiver & log into your College Board account for an SAT Fee Waiver.)

• Students MUST Upload a current photo to register and present a CURRENT Photo ID on test day!

Don’t forget to print off your admission ticket and take it with you, along with your photo ID, the day of the test!!
