A technical school, also referred to as a trade school, vocational school, or vocational college, is a post-secondary institution that's designed to give students the technical skills to prepare them for a specific occupation. Typically, students receive a diploma or certificate acknowledging completion of the program; however, you can earn an Associate's degree fromsome technical colleges (the type of 2-year degree earned from a Community College.)
