February 9, 2026 @ 5:00 PM
Join us to learn about Dual Credit courses offered as well as the registration process for summer 2026 and the 2026-2027 school year.
To help you succeed, Lone Star College (LSC) created a D2L Community Group: Dual Credit Summer Student Resources. This online space is designed specifically for CFISD dual credit students and includes everything you need to stay informed and connected. In the group, you’ll find:
Important dates for the summer session
Instructions on how to drop a course
Resources available to students
Guidance on how to purchase textbooks
Information on how to make payment for classes
Grading information
Help section with contact details for assistance
We encourage you to review the materials in the group regularly to ensure a smooth and successful summer term.
If you currently receive accommodations in your high school courses through 504 or Special Education, you MUST request accommodations through LSC's Office of Disability Services for your college courses (dual credit courses).
Please follow the "Disability Services Accommodation Process" checklist to ensure you complete all the necessary steps well BEFORE your classes begin.
Selecting from your approved list of accommodations must be done EVERY semester for EACH class you're taking. It's recommended that you log into the VDAC system prior to the first day of class and again anytime you receive an email from LSC stating one of your courses has been added or dropped.
To obtain a Lone Star ID#, you must complete an Apply Texas Dual Credit application to Lone Star College using these instructions.
Please use the two-page flyer (below) and/or the STEP-BY-STEP slide presentation (above).
After completing the Apply Texas application, check your emails regularly for your "Welcome to Lone Star" email that arrives within 2-4 school days. This email contains your LSC ID# in the upper righthand corner. Bring your LSC# along with any qualifying test scores to your DC Counselor to discuss your next steps in the DC Registration process.
For most DC students, the New Student Checklist pictured below will NEVER be 100% complete. This checklist is for full-time LSC students attending after high school graduation.
BACTERIAL MENINGITIS REQUIREMENT INFO FOR IN-PERSON OR HYBRID COURSES ONLY
Most Dual Credit students NEVER need to satisfy the Bacterial Meningitis vaccine requirement because it's only required if you are taking an IN-PERSON or HYBRID courses on Lone Star's campus. Instructions on submitting Proof of Vaccination or submitting an Objection Request have been shared here.
