Elementary School Scholarships

Each year Cy Ranch seniors who attended CFISD elementary schools may have the opportunity to apply for scholarships from their alma mater.  Check this page for applications and deadlines as they become available.

Eligibility and Requirements

- Be a student in good standing at Cypress-Ranch High School

- Minimum of B average

- Attended Warner Elementary School

- Be classified as a senior and graduate with senior class on May 28, 2024

- Complete application in its entirety, incomplete applications will be disqualified

- Attend an accredited two or four-year college or university

The application and ALL required materials must be turned in to Mrs. Marks in the Counseling office by Friday, April 12 at 3:00pm.  No late submissions will be accepted.

Mrs. Marks will collect your entire application file and submit it to Warner Elementary.  This includes your application, high school transcript, letter of recommendation (your recommender should send it directly to kimberly.marks@cfisd.net), and the required essay.

2024 Ault Elementary PTO Scholarship - 2 at $1,000 each

The Ault PTO will honor two CFISD graduating students from the class of 2024 (who also graduated 5th grade from Ault Elementary) by awarding each a $1,000 scholarship. These grants are intended to recognize and reward students who have demonstrated a history of academic performance, involvement in school activities, participation in community service and/or employment(s) during high school, and contributing to the overall betterment of the Cypress, TX community. The Selection Panel will utilize the following criteria when making their selection: 

Academic Performance 25% 

Community Service and/or Work Experience 25%

 Letter of recommendation 20% 

Involvement in School Activities 10% 

Career Objectives & Goal(s) 10% 

Personal Statement 10% 

Application process: 

1. Complete the cover letter & application attached in its entirety. Additional materials (including but not limited to resumes, pictures, additional letters of recommendation beyond the one requested, portfolios, etc.) will not be distributed to the Selection Panel, nor considered during the selection process. 

2. Please use your name or other identifiers only on the cover sheet. Prior to consideration by the Selection Panel, committee members will review applications to ensure anonymity. Note: students of CFISD employees are welcome to apply. CFISD employees will not take part in the selection process. 

3. Request a letter of recommendation (please note only 1 letter will be considered) from a teacher, administrator, counselor, employer, or community leader that speaks to your character. The applicant must submit the letter with their application. 

4. Return the completed application, including the letter of recommendation, to the information noted below by Friday, April 19, 2024 at 2:00pm. 

5. Recipients will be notified via email by May 24, 2024.

2024 Rennell ES Scholarship.pdf

2024 Rennell Elementary School Scholarship $1,000

Deadline: EXPIRED

ALL required materials must be submitted directly to Cherise Garcia, Counselor at Rennell Elementary, by Friday, March 29th (cherise.garcia@cfisd.net).  No late submissions will be accepted.

2024 Wilson Elementary School Scholarship $500

Deadline: EXPIRED

The application and ALL required materials must be turned in to Mrs. Marks in the Counseling office by Wednesday, April 3 at 3:00pm (or delivered directly to Wilson Elementary School).  No late submissions will be accepted.

Mrs. Marks will collect your entire application file and submit it to Wilson Elementary.  This includes your application, official transcript, letter of recommendation (your teacher should send it directly to me), and the required statement/essay.

OFFICIAL transcripts should be ordered no later than Friday, March 29.  In the "special instructions" box of your transcript order, make a note to deliver the transcript to Mrs. Marks for the Wilson Elementary Scholarship.  Instructions on how to order transcripts can be found HERE.
