The mission of this organization is to advance collaboration efforts that promote tech health of the region. They provide platforms for small tech companies to connect with regional/national businesses, advocate for IT/Digital disciplines and careers, and more. Find resources here.


The mission of STEM Forward is "to promote STEM Education and careers to all students through collaboration with business, education, government and the community. Their programs, events and outreach activities inspire local youth to pursue STEM careers and provide a pipeline of talent to businesses in southeastern Wisconsin. Find resources here.

The Wisconsin CSTA (Computer Science Teachers Association) has been developing the computer science community over the past 10 years. Their site aims to be the focal point for all things computer science within Wisconsin. They share ideas and lessons through meetings and by creating sessions about computer science in various venues.

The mission of Women in Technology Wisconsin is to attract, grow and retain women of all ages in technology-related careers. WIT collaborates with professionals, companies, and communities to help women in technology of all ages and stages -- from the classroom to the boardroom — by providing a variety of leadership development, technology education, networking, and mentoring opportunities for women and girls.

New North's mission is "to be a catalyst for regional prosperity through collaborative action." They were Created in 2005 by business leaders to implement economic development strategies that leverage regional assets/capacities and engage regional collaborators to maximize the collective economic power of 18 counties

National

The Technology Education and Literacy in Schools (TEALS) Program partners with high schools to build teacher capacity and student interest in computer science with the goal of enabling schools to sustain equitable CS programs on their own.

Code.org® is a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to computer science in schools and increasing participation by young women and students from other underrepresented groups. Our vision is that every student in every school has the opportunity to learn computer science as part of their core K-12 education.

The International Society for Technology in Education has standards for students and teachers, professional learning, events and other resources that help teachers use technology in a transformative way.

NCWIT is a non-profit community that convenes, equips, and unites change leader organizations to increase the influential and meaningful participation of girls and women — at the intersections of race/ethnicity, class, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability status, and other historically marginalized identities — in the field of computing, particularly in terms of innovation and development. We create an engaging classroom environment unlike any other. PLTW empowers students to develop and apply in-demand, transportable skills by exploring real-world challenges. Through our pathways in computer science, engineering, and biomedical science, students not only learn technical skills, but also learn to solve problems, think critically and creatively, communicate, and collaborate.

Over the past four years, WeAreTechWomen has helped thousands of women in tech enhance their careers through our events, conferences and awards. We have also worked with over 40 multi-sector corporate organisations helping them to attract, retain and develop their female tech talent. We have also provided over 3,000 women with the opportunities to up skill through our events and conferences, as well as highlighting the achievements of 150 future tech leaders through our TechWomen100 awards. WeAreTechWomen currently has a membership of 15,000 diverse female members women working across a multitude of industries and tech disciplines.
