Hour of Code Activities

Part of our mission at CSTEY is to help educators learn and grow. That doesn't just mean training teachers in the code.org and Microsoft TEALS curricula, guiding districts through the SCRIPT curriculum process, and supporting counselors in coding computer science pathways - although we do those things. It means sharing resources with you that will help you grow. If you have a resource you would like to share with other educators, please click the button below and we will post them for you.

Resources

The SCRIPT — the Strategic CSforALL Resource & Implementation Planning Tool — is a framework to guide teams of district administrators, school leaders, and educators through a series of collaborative visioning, self-assessment and goal-setting exercises to create or expand upon a computer science education implementation plan for their students.

A podcast site where 15,000 plus educators share what works. This site has CS-related content in addition to many other topics.

He writes a regular newsletter twice a month; in his most recent issue (7/31/2021) he highlights two of his recent free books: The Future of AI in our Schools and Computer Cultural Literacy for Educators.

According to the website, this computing magazine for educators is published three times a year and is chock full of ideas for any educator involved with or wanting to be involved with computer science.
