The ACT test has made significant changes to compete with the SAT.
The ACT used to be taken in four subjects, but now the Science Reasoning section is optional. This change has made the ACT faster to complete, clocking in at just over 2 hours (similar to the SAT). While the SAT has now moved entirely to a digital format, the ACT continues to offer either a paper or computer-based test. To learn more, check out their webinar schedule. They also have free practice tests available online, much like the SAT does through Khan Academy. Both are viewed equally at every college in the country; there’s even a comparison chart that helps you understand how a score would measure on the other test.
