Plaster Masks
Haylie Wrage Devilish Thoughts
12.5X8X5.5 Plaster, Acrylic Paint, Fathers, Ribbon, 2017
For my idea was I wanted to do something for my dad, his birthday is coming and he was called a devil when he was little cause he was so bad. When I started, I started with a human face mold then, I added horn from medal wire and worked the metal around newspaper till I got my desired shape. Then I painted the mask red and when It dried I added face details (eyebrows, eyes, mustache, and a little beard) and painted the horns black, and added 2 red stripes at the top and bottom and when it dyed I added a red ribbon around it to make it pop. If I could change something I would change my horns because they looked a little weird, because they slanted, so that made them sit weird. If I would do it again I would make the horns flat. One thing I loved is how my face paint turned out, I was worried that it wasn’t going to look finished in the end.

Haylie Wrage “Pineapple”
12X18,” Oil Pastel, Watercolor Paint, Hot Glue on Paper, 2017
I got my idea when i wanted to do something tumblr, which is pretty but different. And most tumblr thing is a pineapple. I wanted my audience to think about why I did it, because there is so many reasons I could have done this. I would change the thickness of the hot glue because it wasn't thick enough to hold on to the paper so it moved out of place. I love all the colors and how they contrasted together, like how the orange-yellow mixed with the maroon.
Haylie Wrage “The Indecisive Rooms”
12X18,” Graphite on Paper, 2017
I got my idea when I didn't know what to do, so I wrote in the pictures area yes, no, etc. And I took the idea and made it better by adding question marks, and furniture to make it kind like an art show that describes what is in my mind when coming up with an idea. I want the audience to think why did she made this, I wanted them to think “ What was going threw her mid as she was drawing this. If I could change one thing it would be how big the back wall I would have made it bigger. I love it because it reminds me of me, I never know what to do, or draw so I took that to the next level and showed how i never know what to do.
