A bulk absence event involves multiple students being absent for the same event.
The Absence Events Bulk Entry window will open. Use the drop down menus to select the students required. Leaving the selections blank will select all students in the school. Selections can also be made based on year level/s.
A list of students to be processed based on the search criteria is displayed:
If a mistake is made, use the Clear Selections option at the bottom of the window:
A message is displayed confirming that the Absence Events records have been created.
A message is displayed asking if you would like to create another bulk entry:
If a bulk absence has already been entered into eSIS e.g. if a group of students will be absent on a camp for a week but one or more of the students do not attend the camp due to e.g. illness, the bulk absence event will need to be superseded by the school's attendance/administration officer.
