Como ya es tradición en nuestro colegio, este año hemos celebrado el Pancake Day como parte de las actividades complementarias del Itinerario Bilingüe del programa BRIT-Aragón.

As has now become a tradition in our school, this year we have celebrated Pancake Day, as part of the complementary activities within the Bilingual Itinerary of the BRIT-Aragón programme.

Durante la semana pasada, el alumnado ha realizado diferentes talleres de cocina en las aulas con las maestras de inglés. Los más valientes se han animado a explicar la tradicional receta. El alumnado de 4º ha grabado un programa de cocina: "The Astrónomo Zarzoso Cooking Show"; y el alumnado de 3º ha creado un sencillo podcast.

Over the past week, students have participated in different cooking workshops with their English teachers. The bravest ones have explained themselves the traditional recipe. Fourth graders recorded a TV show, "The Astrónomo Zarzoso Cooking Show", and third graders created a simple podcast.

El viernes celebramos la "7th Pancake Race" en nuestro cole. Según la tradición, que se remonta a 1445 en el pueblo británico de Olney, los participantes, ataviados con delantal y pañuelo, corren carreras de relevos por las calles con sartenes, volteando los pancakes por el aire. ¡También almorzamos pancakes!

On Friday, we held the 7th Pancake Race at our school. According to the tradition, which dates back to 1445 in the British town of Olney, participants wearing aprons and headscarves, run relay races through the streets holding pans and flipping pancakes. We also ate pancakes!
