Painting 1

Grant Gregoire"Stinger"

10x8, Acrylic on canvas, 2021

My first idea was going to be a fish but I tried to sketch it out and it did not look good, so I was looking up paintings and I found a jellyfish so I like it and I chose it out. The artwork shows some life experiences because when I was 11 I went to Florida and I went to the ocean and I saw some jellyfish. Some tools I used were the canvas which was the main tool in this, also I used acrylic paint and a paint brush. This artwork means I like to be outdoors and on the beach in the ocean especially when it is hot in Florida. I want the audience to know about my jellyfish to be more realistic. So I added color. The most difficult part was when I was painting the stringers, I messed up alot on the stringers. The style of my painting is realistic because it is in the ocean and it has real colors of a jellyfish in an ocean in the water.

Grant Gregoire "Colorado"

10x8, Acrylic on canvas, 2021

My idea was to make a nice background, but I wanted it to look really realistic because it's supposed to be a landscape and when I finished it. It looked really realistic. Life experiences are when I went to Colorado and watched the sun come up which was heaven. The process was I started out by painting the background first then I started drawing the hills so it looked like a sun rising. This artwork means the Colorado trip I took, and watched the sunrise and you could see everything, when I was on the mountain. Most difficult part was trying to make the hills the same colors which I was not good at.I would change the hills into mountains and make them realistic. My artwork is realistic because it looks realistic.
