All school expectations (PBIS) will be reinforced in Physical Education this includes good sportsmanship, no bullying and no profanity.
Student are expected to demonstrate sportsmanship, effort, and kindness during PE class at all times. Students are expected to speak to teachers, staff and other students with dignity and respect. Non-compliance will result in parent contact, via phone, email or, DCF. Consistent non-compliance can result in loss of privileges, the assignment of alternate activities, and affect a students individual responsibility grade.
Cell phones should be powered off during the school day and in your backpack. No cell phones are allowed in the locker room. Having cell phones on in a locker room where people are changing is a violation of privacy.
A blue PE lock will be issued for students to use in the locker room. Students are responsible for this lock. Any non-school lock is not allowed and will be cut off if found in the locker room. Students should close/lock the padlock on the locker each time they use it. If the lock is lost and not found the student will need to pay for a replacement lock. Locks are cross-referenced by serial number. If a lock is found, we can find the locker it goes on, but only if we find the lock. All clothing and personal items should be locked up each time they are left in the locker room.

No one is allowed to use any equipment until instructed to do so.
If a student is sick or injured and cannot participate they will need a note from their parent/guardian or a doctor. A parent note can allow them out of participation for up to 3 days; a doctor’s note can excuse them for an extended period of time. The student must stay out for the duration of the doctor’s note or bring in another note that releases them from their care. Only a doctor’s note can release them early from the extended medical excuse. Students on medical will NOT be allowed in the gym. They will be sent to the Innovation Center and will be given assignments to work on for the duration of their medical excuse.
There is no food, gum, or candy allowed in gyms or locker rooms.
No backpacks are allowed in the locker rooms.
No aerosol deodorant (AXE), or perfume/body sprays are allowed in the locker room. Please supply your child with roll on deodorant.
Students must wear gym shoes for class.
NO CROCS or SLIDES.
