Birdie: Common term for shuttle
Fauft: Breaking a rule. The penalty is a point of loss of point.
Rally: Hitting the bird back and forth over the net
Serve: Putting the bird into play.
Clear: High, deep shot to the back of the court, can be done over or underhand
Drive: Hard, horizontal shot that flies low over the net.
Drop: Shot that just clears the net and falls immediately to the opponent's court
Smash: A hard shot driven down to the floor.
Right side player is always the first to serve for their team.
All serves are diagonal, over the net and must land past the service line.
Serves are to be played by the correct receiver.
If a point is scored the server moves to the left side and serves to the other opponent.
Every time the serving team scores a point, the server moves right to left and left to right.
If the serve hits the net and lands in the proper service court, it is a "let" and can be re-served.

EVERY SERVE, A POINT WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO A TEAM THAT SCORES
A BIRD THAT LANDS ON THE LINE IS "GOOD"
ANY BIRD THAT HITS THE NET AND GOES OVER DURING PLAY IS GOOD.
Doubles players need to communicate and cooperate with each other to cover the area of play. Two types of court
coverage are side-by-side and front-and-back. In side by side, players cover their side of the court. in front and back,
one player covers the front half and the other covers the back.
Game is played to 21 points; you must win by at least two points,
Switch sides of the net when one team gets to 11 points.
One hit per team per side.
