The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a test taken by prospective military recruits to determine qualifications of enlistment in the U.S. Armed Forces.
A minimum score of a 31 is needed to enlist, however the different military branches vary in preferred scores (higher ranges) in recruitment.
The ASVAB is an Aptitude Test along with a Career Interest Inventory.
The ASVAB will help you to identify skills, interests, work-related values and help to investigate suitable jobs that fit your personalilty.

A military recruiter can help answer questions about service, providing a positive but realistic assessment of opportunities. A recruiter’s job is to find qualified candidates for his or her respective service and provide the candidates with information about- and reasons for- joining the military. Students interested in military service are advised to talk with a recruiter for the branch of the military in which they are interested.
