It's never too early to start preparing for college! The EVHS Counselors, Career Coach, and College Adviser are here to help you prepare! There are various events, seminars, webinars, and interactive websites that can help you and your family best prepare for the future! Remember to always ask questions!
A college rep visit is when representatives from the admissions department at certain colleges visit high schools to meet with interested students. Some colleges track student interest during the application process, so if you want to attend a certain school, it would be smart to meet with the representative from admissions to talk with them!
The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test is a standardized test administered by the College Board and cosponsored by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation in the United States. The PSAT is offered at Eastern View to 10th free of cost and to 11th graders for $17 (as of 2020). See Mrs. Hillary Stanton the testing coordinator for more information!
Colleges want to see you trying your best and challenging yourself to the best of your ability! Take that AP class or Dual Enrollement! Talk to your counselor about what is best for you.
Talk to your counselor and see if Germanna Scholars is right for you! Link to the EVHS Student Services Website
Dual enrollment provides qualified high school students with the opportunity to complete college level courses while still attending high school. Courses completed as a dual enrollment student appear on both the student's high school, and Germanna transcripts. Talk with Mr. Johnson or your counselor!
