About me: My Name is William McGuirk and I am currently in my second year of of the Digital Media Pathway at my High School. During this time I have learned about photography, cinematography, lighting, story creation, adobe programs, sound, as well as camera hardware. Using this information I have expanded on my learning and have continued to self teach myself in video making/editing, Photoshop, photography, and even special affects and animation in Adobe after affects. I enjoy using these skills to take pictures for myself when I am outside and enjoy capturing the moment of something or just the pure scenery. I also use my skills for personal video creation for both skateboard/outdoor edits, and occasionally for YouTube videos of gameplay. What I enjoy the most is making something that I enjoy myself that I can share with others. Weather this be a cool photo I took, a video I edited, or a special effect I made, I want it to be something I can connect with, or enjoy and then share that experience with someone else. This has helped me enjoy all the video editing and photos I have taken because I can look back on them with a sense of accomplishment when looking at them or watching them. I plan on continuing to make and edit videos and take photos as often as I can as a hobby. I want to purely do this for enjoyment for myself and others because I feel that this way I can continue to enjoy it for a long time.
