What is the Matriculation Review Board?
The Maticulaton Review Board (MRB) is a CVCC board managed by the CVCC scholar advisor and CVCC liaison. The MRB is made up of the CECHS administration, school counselor, CVCC college liaison, and various CVCC employees. The student’s PAA will act as the student advocate and attend the MRB meeting. Parents may not attend the meeting.
Students that go before the MRB will be either be placed on academic probation or withdrawn from CECHS. All MRB decisions are final.
Reasons a student may be mandated to attend a MRB meeting:
CHS overall unweighted GPA at or below 2.25 (Freshmen and Sophomores) and below 2.5 (Juniors and Seniors)
CHS semester unweighted GPA at or below 2.0
CVCC semester GPA at or below 2.0
CVCC overall GPA at or below 2.0

The purpose of academic probation is to implement supports to help students develop the skills they need to be successful at Challenger Early College. Here are some supports that can be required:
The requirement to pass all classes - high school and college - with a grade of C or better.
Grade monitoring
Counselor Meetings
Scholar Advisor Meetings
Non-Class time spent in the Student Success Suite with clocking in/out.
Mandated Online Time Budget/Planner Checks
Mandated SAS Time
Mandated Mentoring
Mandated Study Group
Other requirements as determined by the MRB board
