Room 7

History is a process of interpretation and perspective-taking. In this project, Room 7 have researched mainstream history and identified whose voice has been left unheard. Studying different perspectives builds empathy and intellectual open-mindedness. Room 7 has used what they learnt to document and share the multiple (and sometimes conflicting) histories that coexist throughout the world.

Throughout the academic term, we have explored the children of the lost generation, North Korea, the Dawn Raids, the Fight to Vote, and the Holocaust. Students then wrote a two voice poem creating a dynamic blend of monologue by, and dialogue between two unique perspectives/voices.
