Room 6 has been learning about the holocaust. The Holocaust was the systematic, state-sponsored persecution and murder of six million European Jews by the Nazi German regime and its allies and collaborators. The Holocaust was an evolving process that took place throughout Europe between 1933 and 1945.
We watched the film The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, looking at the perspective of the lives of the two young boys, Shmuel and Bruno. Our two-voice poems tell the story of the life of these two boys and how different their experiences and lives are even though they are only a fence apart.
