LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF

Hello! 

My name is Michael Donovan, and I am the Gifted Education Teacher here at the Carlynton School District.  I would like to express how excited I am to further the educational experiences for your children throughout the District. I am a graduate of Carlynton myself and have been teaching for more than 10 years. I have taught Physical Education and Health in the past at the Jr-Sr High School and most recently within the Special Education program at the Allegheny Intermediate Unit. 

As your child’s G.A.T.E. Teacher, it is my goal to progress them into the future with enrichment, competitions, and events. It is an exciting challenge that is before us all. Ensuring that your children have the tools and materials in order to reach their highest potential, not only as individual students, but as future members of our society, is my number one goal.

I believe that parental/guardian involvement is a must in a program like this, and I look forward to gathering information from all sides in order to put together a detailed educational plan for your child going forward. I will send out emails and letters home in the coming weeks regarding field trips, competitions, and meetings. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns.
