Bailey Vetter
Senior
Bailey has been a part of the Gate program since 2nd grade - 10 years
He is currently a part of the Marching Band and NHS
The Calc class with Mr. Kozy last year was his favorite
Bailey has so many inspirations he did not want to single anyone out
All of the projects/trips allowed me to learn more hands-on or firsthand about different topics that you don't get from any classes.
If Bailey was stranded on an island he would want Sean Hart and Ella Snyder with him because they would figure out a way to make it off the island
Bailey's message to the younger GATE students - "Don't take it for granted, enjoy it because it goes fast. "

I’ve been in GATE since second grade
I’m a junior town council person of the Carnegie Borough town council, I swim for a club swim team and the varsity team, I’m a captain of our varsity soccer team, NHS, senior class treasurer, and a member of student gov
My favorite class this year is O'Chem and my favorite overall teacher is Mr. Kozy
My mom is really inspiring to me
The GATE program has given me many opportunities be exposed to fields of study and careers I never would have otherwise, so I’m confident of my major choice going into college
I would pick Mrs. Badger first because she seems like she knows what plants we can eat and how to make a raft. Second, I would pick my best friend so I wouldn’t be miserable
I think GATE students need to learn how to work hard and actually study. Maybe they need to set higher standards for themselves, or endeavor to learn the material more in depth, but coasting until college isn’t good for the long term education or work ethic
