It's been a great couple of months exploring more of our Project Lit book titles. In the fall, we discussed Dashka Slater's The 57 Bus, Tomi Adeyemi's Children of Blood and Bone, and just last week took on Varian Johnson's The Parker Inheritance. So many highly engaging titles that resulted in deep conversations of discrimination, the multiple dimensions of characters, and the ways in which authors choose to weave their ideas so skillfully into a text! Can't wait for next month's talk on Time Bomb by Joelle Charbonneau!

October 2018: What a fantastic first book talk of the year! We read Angie Thomas' debut novel The Hate U Give and had so many insightful and exciting aspects to our conversation. Can't wait to see what our next discussion of The 57 Bus will bring!

We are launching Project Lit for the 2018-2019 school year and will begin with a discussion of Angie Thomas' novel, The Hate U Give. This discussion will take place Wed., Oct. 17, after school from 2:30-3:30 in the library.
If you have read the book, are reading the book, or just want to be part of the conversation, please consider joining a group of students and faculty members to talk about it.
