Shakespeare

Dr. Kidwell - Fall Semester

2018-2019

January 2019: As this semester of Shakespeare winds down, students are busy creating their own version of a literary tragedy. Collaborative groups are developing their tragic heroes, assessing their flaws, and articulating those moments of recognition and reversal. Next week - live performances!

October 2018: Students are preparing to share their expertise with the class regarding an historical play. Soon we'll read Henry V, and we want to be sure we've got all the proper context!

September 2018: Students have just finished presenting research-based projects to learn about William Shakespeare's life, culture, and political landscapes. Each group demonstrated their understanding through an oral presentation, a creative video, and an interactive game to engage their peers in the learning!

August 2018: Students are engaging in the use of Shakespearean language by creating dialogues with selected quotes! "For the rain, it raineth everyday..."

2017-2018

November, 2017: Just a little dramatic reading from Shakespeare's historical plays!
