Today we have to complete:
Linear Patterns
Choose a pattern from the front of the class.
Investigate the pattern in your math book or on the sheet. Do this by following the questions on the sheet.
Create a poster.
This needs to be on A3 paper (at the front of class)
On your poster you need to show at least four representations of your chosen pattern.
1. Describe in WORDS
2. Draw the GRAPH
3. Draw a TABLE
4. Draw the PICTURE
5. Write the RULE
Use COLOUR and ARROWS to connect each representation to another.
If you have completed your poster;
Is the spelling correct?
Did you use a ruler?
Should you win a prize?
We should have RESEARCH
We should have SKETCHES (on the template)
We should be drawing our courtyard using PERSPECTIVE
Be prepared to discuss your design with others (including the linear or non-linear pattern)
What features are you especially happy with?
What would you do different?
Do you think your design deserves a prize?
Cut out each of the graphs and glue into your math book.
Cut out each of the algebraic rules and match to a graph - before gluing check you have them right!
