EarthQuakers and others enjoyed an Autumnal walk on Sunday as part of a "More Joy, Less Carbon" series.
We met at Cambridge North Station and walked along the river to Clayhithe, gathering Friends along our route. Some walked as far as BaitsBite lock before turning back while others joined us there and continued to Clayhithe. The river was busy with student rowing races for the first stretch, but beyond the lock past Horningsea and towards Clayhithe it was quiet and peaceful and several of us were rewarded with sightings of a kingfisher - as well as the swans, coots, cormorants, herons and moorhens that we encountered along the route.
Did you know that one return flight from London to Bangkok emits more carbon than eating meat or driving a car for a year?
