This was our first interim, and our go to song was she's time. The performance went as well as expected, with a few minor errors from our drummers behalf, however he recovered very well so it did not effect the performance. I noticed during the video that I was very quiet in the mix, this was because of the level I had set during the performance, and it is something I should definitely look into in the future.
Our second song of choice was our re imagined cover of safe and sound. Our rendition of the song didn't really do it for me to be honest, I felt like the song didn't really have a kick to it, I felt like the song was flat dynamically. I could definitely look into using different effects and altering the song dynamically.
This is our feedback video given to us by Matt Henson.
In this video, Matt gives us some solid feedback on how we can tidy some areas up in in songs, for example: the dynamic transition in Shes Time was a bit sloppy, which we can definitely work on in later development.
My personal feedback was to smile more. I think this was due to the fact that my stage presence wasn't the greatest, which I can definitely work on, despite having somewhat of on accurate stage presence to a shoegaze musician. I think having better stage presence will help me in the future regardless of the genre I'm doing, even if I'm playing shoegaze.
In this video this man talks about how to improve stage presence, I will use this video to my advantage by listening and using constructs from this to improve my stage presence.
