For the longest of time I have wanted to improve my stage presence, and to be honest I feel like i have definitely improved over the last couple of stages, but not enough.
That is my goal, to look confident on stage and have a blast. I have been working towards that goal for the longest of time and I'm almost where I want to be. This is what I want
The skills I know now.
I can definitely hold my own, I know a handful of techniques, from alternate picking all the way to added 9 chords. I have made a substantial amount of progress, I would like to believe anyway. I would like to believe that my style of playing makes me very diverse. I believe this because I have dabbled in most genres, such as: pop punk, Rock, Shoegaze, jazz, Indie, Slowcore, Metal, Doo Wop, Blues and many more to come.
My aims and project for this band is to actually:
Form a Shoegaze band.
This is something ive wanted to do for the longest of times, simplistic but significant. This is something ive been planned since I came to this college. playing shoegaze is something I want to do personally and I personally think I can thrive, after all shoegaze is what I prioritise and dabble in mainly. Shoegaze has been something ive been dabbling alot in since I started exploring music many years ago.
We will be using plenty of effects, and I will show other people what I know about shoegaze, being one of the only shoegaze fanatics in this course. I believe this project offers a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the genre while sharing my knowledge with others.
My aim for this project is simple. That is to simply create and be in a shoegaze band, which will require people with pedal boards and other rays of special effects.
We will be researching different techniques that other shoegaze bands used, like the classic neck pickup and lashing out tons of fuzz and reverb.
I will evaluate on this project by seeing if my knowledge expands by the end of this FMP. It can be as simple as learning new techniques, or maybe even expand my knowledge of the genre more.
Hopefully by the end of this project, my knowledge could be passed on to others, for example: fellow band members, or maybe people who enjoy the show.
