Not everybody was present during this rehearsal, i was missing.
We had an idea that we could re imagine an already popular pop tune, and this is what came to mind.
Our main focus for this particular rehearsal was to get down the lyrical placements for the song, and to overall develop the song structure however I didn't really have a goal for this rehearsal as I was not here.
Right off the bat, at 0:10 there is a lack of instrumentality, there is no drive in the song at all.
Throughout the song, the song remains flat, there is not or many dynamic changes in the song, which gives us something to work on for next time.
Moving forward I will be present for the next rehearsal.
This rehearsal was handy in a way that it helped establish the form and structure of the song, however there is still alot to work on for next time, for example: Dynamics and finite detail.
These 2 videos display 2 patterns of different arpeggios that I believe I could implement in my work. I believe that this could add more dynamic range in the verses and these videos will help me do so.
In this video everybody was present. Our main focus for this rehearsal was to develop our parts further for this re-imagined and experimenting with different effects and progressions. My personal goal was to write a nice melody for this song. I used my research into arpeggios to create a very nice mellow melody. My most noticeable arpeggio was at 0:18. I Arpeggiated an Em7 which suited the song quite well. Moving forward we will continue to develop this cover in great succession. This rehearsal was very successful in the terms of figuring out parts for me. However I would like to focus more on tone in future development.
