Introduction to Blender
Blender is the free and open source 3D creation suite. It supports the entirety of the 3D pipeline—modeling, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing and motion tracking, even video editing and game creation.
An introduction to the fundamental concepts and skills in 3D Design.
Blender Learning Targets:
Students will be able to use, split, join and extend the user interface.
Student will be able to use Blender to create 3D models using standard tools including
extrusion modeling
mesh deformation of points, edges, and faces
removing and adding mesh elements
Student will be able to use and understand modifiers (e.g. subdivision surface, solidify & particles)
Students will be able to create, add and adjust lighting and materials
Student will be able to create scenes using layers
Student will be able to import/export models
Student will be able to create basic animations and renderings
