Code of Conduct training is compulsory for all members of the unit.
All new recruits to CCCU must complete this training within their first four weeks with the unit. Failure to complete this training in this time will result in you being unable to continue to attend CCCU.
This depends on whether the breach is a performance shortfall, misconduct or serious misconduct:
Performance Shortfalls generally result in extra coaching, mentoring, advice or corrective action (such as fixing uniform infractions).
Misconduct and Serious Misconduct can result in a range of outcomes depending on the seriousness of the breach. These can include written or oral apologies, formal warnings, loss of privileges, extra duties, demotion in rank, suspension from activities or dismissal from the unit
If you aren't sure whether something breaches the Code of Conduct, remember to apply the SELF test:
Scrutiny: Would be actions be appropriate and withstand the scrutiny of others?
Ensure Compliance: Would my actions comply with orders, policies and regulations?
Lawful: Would my actions be lawful?
Fair: Would my actions be fair and reasonable to all?
If in doubt - don't do it
