The Reference Department at the Cabell County Public Library is committed to promptly and courteously providing library materials and information to local residents. We support our community’s personal, professional, and educational needs through a range of services.

Library computers are available to anyone with a current library card.

Free Wi-Fi is available at all branches with no restrictions.
Located in a quiet corner on the second floor of the library's main branch, the James E. Casto Local History Room serves as a valuable repository of the region’s rich history, dating back to the first settlers of the Ohio Valley.
This dedicated space provides access to a wealth of historical resources, including census records, family histories, land deeds, and cemetery reference guides. Additionally, visitors can explore over 130 years of regional publications on microfilm, including:
