Our advanced audition-only orchestra, Symphony Orchestra (ORCH 3) is for students who have played at least three years in an orchestra and private lessons are recommended.
Auditions are required for this class and held in March every year.
75% of students in this class are enrolled in private lessons.
Our focus is pushing ourselves to a higher level, playing longer pieces, wider variety of musical styles, and higher expectations for musical performance.
Students participate in five concerts per year, a small ensemble project, including performance at CASTA Regionals and CASTA State (upon qualification)
Students perform full orchestra literature at least once a year, combining with Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensemble.
Students are also eligible for a field trip every year either in-state or out-of-state.
