The Museo del Romanticismo in Madrid: During the industrial revolution, the higher bourgeoisie became very wealthy. They built beautiful houses in Madrid that you can still visit today. Please visit the Museo del Romanticismo and notice how this family displayed its wealth. Note the importance of family (to preserve property), the roles of men and women, and the new ways of serving food and relaxing. Also, write down all of the people we have studied in class that are represented in the paintings.
