Again, this movie was based on a best-seller written by Umberto Ecco. It narrates a story that takes place in an Italian monastery in the 14th century. Some things that you need to pay attention to: 

• the books and the library

• what are the monks working on

• the different sects that appear in the Middle Ages. There is a constant desire for reform in the Catholic church-- from the beginning

• how the locals are depicted

• what they are eating and drinking
