What is eagle period? Eagle period is like a homeroom in the middle of the day. This is a great time to check your email, get your homework done, work with a peer tutor, etc.
What should I do during Eagle period? Get help from a peer tutor, catch up on homework, check your email, get help from a teacher, work on projects, go to the library, update your calendar, complete make-up work, read announcements, etc.
When should I get connected with a peer tutor? It's best to get connected with a peer tutor when you are struggling in any of your classes, whether it's because you don't understand certain concepts, or are behind because you were out sick, peer tutors are here to support you!
How do I get connected with a peer tutor? It's easy, just talk to your Eagle teacher and let them know you would like to see a peer tutor or if you are struggling in math, you can ask your math teacher to sign you up.

Where are the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade peer tutor rooms? The 6th grade peer tutor room is in Mrs. Current's room (rm. 606). The 7th grade peer tutor room is in Mrs. Cline's room (rm. 701). The 8th grade peer tutor room is in Mrs. Herlihy's room (rm. 806).

What is Catch-Up Cafe? Catch-Up Cafe is an opportunity for you to get caught up during your lunch period. Your teacher will assign you to Catch-Up Cafe if you are behind or did not complete/finish an assignment.
Where is Catch-Up Cafe held? It is held in the large group room.
When is Catch-Up Cafe held? During your scheduled lunch time.
Do I have to attend Catch-Up Cafe if I finished the assignment that I was assigned Catch-Up Cafe for? Yes, unless your teacher tells you otherwise.
Who is assigned Catch-Up Cafe? Typically students are assigned Catch-Up Cafe if they failed to complete an assignment in class or for homework. Teachers assign Catch-Up Cafe in an effort to get you caught back up.
Can you attend Catch-Up Cafe if you are not assigned Catch-Up Cafe? Yes, all are welcome! If you are behind and just want some extra time to work, come on in!
How do I know if I am assigned Catch-Up Cafe? You will need to check your email before your lunch period to see if you are assigned. If you are, you will have an email from either Mrs. Hill or Mr. Eckley.
What happens if you are assigned Catch-Up Cafe, but do not attend? You will receive a detention, in which you will have two weeks to serve.
What is the intervention room? A one-on-one peer tutor intervention to help students with missing work and test prep.
Where is the intervention room? The intervention room is located in room 602.
Who is placed in the intervention room? Students who have any D's or F's could be recommended to the intervention room.
What is the purpose of the intervention room? The purpose of the intervention room is to support students who are struggling. The goal is for them to get back on track and return to their regular Eagle period. Each student assigned to the peer tutor room is assigned a peer tutor to help them reach this goal.

Winter's-Bellbrook Community Library offers free tutoring on Monday and Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m. They also provide snacks!
Learning how to study means trying various study strategies and finding the ones which work best for you. Just like we all learn differently, we all have individual studying preferences. Learning how you learn best will help prepare you for assignments and assessments that you will take while in middle school and ensure they are ready for the rigors of your future academic careers and working lives.
