About Us

Hello! My name is Shelly Benson, and I am currently in my 18th year at BMS. Prior to working in education, I proudly served in the military, and I am especially passionate about supporting military-connected students and families. The best part of my day is the time I spend talking with students and building meaningful connections with them.

I have four children, all of whom are graduates of Bellbrook schools, and I love spending quality time with my family. Outside of school, I enjoy being outdoors—whether walking, running, or playing volleyball—and I take every opportunity I can to soak up the Florida sunshine!

Hi! My name is Carly Miller, and I am currently in my fifth year as a school counselor and my twelfth year in education. Prior to counseling, I spent seven years teaching high school Social Studies. I am deeply passionate about supporting students and building meaningful, trusting relationships with them—the best part of my day is always the time I spend talking with my students and helping them navigate their challenges and successes.

Outside of school, I enjoy being outdoors whenever possible, whether that’s camping, kayaking, walking, biking, or rollerblading. I also cherish spending quality time with my husband, Josh, and our two children, Maci (10) and Gavin (8).
