COPY THE TABLE ON THE LEFT INTO YOUR WORKBOOK
Please note: all German plural forms of a noun have the 'die' article.
For example: the tables (more than one) = die Tische
Remember the following:
There is no rule of how to form a plural form of a noun in German. You need a dictionary to look this up
Use your dict.cc online dictionary. Do not use a google translator, since you will often get incorrect answers!
Enter 'tables' (plural form of 'table') into your dictionary
You will find: tables = Tische (pl)
The little 'pl' stands for plural.
Therefore the plural form of 'der Tisch' = 'die Tische'
Please note: the gender (masculine, feminine and neuter) does not matter anymore, when we create a plural form of a noun. All plural nouns in German take the 'die' article
Use your online dictionary: dict.cc
Find the German word for the items listed in the table
Identify the gender of the noun, eg calculator - Taschenrechner (m)
Use the article table above to look up the correct article for the gender, eg masculine = der (the) = ein (a)
Fill in the German word in the table under the column 'the' >> der Taschenrechner. (the = der = definite article)
Identify the equivalent indefinite article as per the table above >> masculine a/an = ein
Fill in the German word in the table under the column 'a' >> ein Taschenrechner. (a = ein = indefinite article)
Identify in the online dictionary what the plural form of the 'Taschenrechner' is in German
Remember: all German plural nouns have the article 'die'
Fill in the German word in the table under the column 'plural' >> die Taschenrechner.
