Year 10 students have the opportunity to develop skills which lead to VET and VCE music.
Year 10 students have a class per week which is dedicated to preparing for VCE/VET pathways. Skills in music performance, theory, composition and music appreciation feature in this course and borrow much of their content from Unit 1 VCE. Year 10 students also participate in ensembles, such as Concert Band, String Ensemble, Choir and Guitar Ensemble. Students will be rehearsing and playing music in every session!
There are a wide range of co-curricular ensembles and bands which students can choose to join.
We welcome students who have private music teachers, but also have a team of specialist music staff from the Bendigo Instrumental Music Program who provide weekly lessons.
