Introduction to Geography

Geography is the study of places and the relationships between people and their environments. Students will explore both the physical properties of Earth’s surface and how human societies have spread across it. They will analyse how tourism and recreation has affected certain places and what this means for the future of these places. Students will evaluate how well Australia and other countries are responding to these geographical issues from an environmental, economic and social perspective. Students will be well grounded in the key skills required to complete Geographic study in VCE and beyond.
