In order to use the equipment in the Makerspace for your own project, you have to attend an orientation session. If you are under the age of 18, then you need to attend an orientation session for any activity in our Makerspace room. Orientation sessions are usually scheduled every other Saturday from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
Classes using Makerspace equipment are found on our Library Events Calendar page. We teach some crafting and cooking classes outside of the Makerspace, but our regular Makerspace classes are scheduled at the following times:
Tuesday, 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm
Saturday, 10:30 am to 12:00 pm
For guided assistance with a project and help with equipment or software, we have some times set aside for you to make an appointment to meet with a specialist. This is typically scheduled three times a week:
Thursday, 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm
Friday, 10:30 am to 1:00 pm OR 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm
Saturday, 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm (once every 2 weeks)
If you want to use the equipment or software and you can work proficiently without assistance, we have Certified Maker Times listed on our Library Events Calendar page as well. To be eligible for these time slots, you must be certified by one of our specialists first. To become certified, please contact us for more information.
