How do I check my email on my laptop?
How do I check my email at home?
Look for the Microsoft Outlook icon on your laptop.
Tips:
Check your email frequently throughout the day.
Delete Sent Folders/Empty Deleted Items at the end of each year
Use folders to store important emails (See Instructions Below)
Go to the MES website.
Click on the Staff Resources button on the homepage.
Choose Web Email.
Log in with your normal username and password
Username: (firstinitial)(lastname)@bryan.k12.ga.us
How to Create Folders in Outlook
Create saved email folders. These folders are available in your Outlook & Webmail.
Right-click on Inbox
New Folder
Name the folder Ex: 2022-2023 Emails
You can create subfolders by right-clicking on that folder and repeating the process.
Drag emails from your email list to your created saved email folders.
Create an Email Signature in Outlook & Webmail
On Your Laptop:
Open Outlook
File
Options
Mail
Stationery & Fonts
Email Signature
New - Type your name
You can type out an email signature or insert a picture signature. Create an email signature in PowerPoint or Google Slides and save it as a picture. This can include a Bitmoji or other images as well as cute fonts.
Click OK.
On Webmail:
Sign into Webmail
Click on the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner
Choose View all Outlook settings
Choose Mail
Choose Compose and Replay
You can type out an email signature or insert a picture signature.
Using the Notes Section in Outlook
The Notes section of Outlook is a great place to store important information such as password.
Click on the three dots in the bottom left-hand corner of Outlook.
Choose Notes.
This allows you to create digital sticky notes. The great thing is these follow you to webmail and also Notes on a iPhone if you have added your school email to your phone.
How to Check Your Quarantine Online
Go to the Staff Resources Page on the MES Website - https://mes.bryancountyschools.org/o/mes/page/resources
Click on Outlook 365 Spam Access
Sign In with your BCS Username and Password
Go to Threat Management – Review
Click on the Quarantine button.
Look for quarantined message.
Check the box beside the message.
Click the check mark to release the message.
