We will utilize Cass Dojo for all parent/classroom communication. You will love the ease of use and the friendly classroom feed to share announcements, class events and photos. And my favorite feature . . . School Story in Dojo will allow families to access FB posts. No need for the teacher to “repost” announcements.
Join Class Dojo by signing in with your BCS Google Account.
Request to join join McAllister and we will link you to our school.
Click +New Class to create your class for 25-26 & invite your co-teacher/para if needed.
Please do not attempt to add your students to Dojo as we will complete an upload once class lists are complete.
The next steps in our Class Dojo journey will be building your class community - rostering students & inviting families. Below are steps to complete both processes. Students have been uploaded to Dojo. You can pull in students beginning July 29th. Please let me know if you have any students missing from the School Directory. Finally, post a welcome slide or message to your Class Story!
Click on your class in Class Dojo.
Under Classroom, you should see a +Add Students button.
Search for your students.
Save
Click on your class in Class Dojo.
Click on the Families header.
Scroll to the bottom of that screen and choose Get class printouts. This will provide a QR code you can display at Open House. Feel free to use the Share a link feature to email an invite to families as needed.
The final step in your Dojo journey is building your class story. This is a great place to post Meet the Teacher materials, beginning of the year reminders and first day pictures. Commit to setting the stage those first couple of weeks with pictures of your class and updates for families. I love that families can refer back to the story at anytime!

You should see your icon and bar that says - What’s happening at (your class name)?
Post a message, photo, video, or file.
**School dates & events will be posted to the School Story to avoid duplicate posts.
