Two weeks ago on Friday 13, a very special Brunswick event occurred. This event has been going on for many years and I hope it will continue. It is known as The Bonfire. Every year, former and current Brunswick students, siblings, and many more people gather to watch the “upper schoolers” throw multiple dummies into a huge pit of fire! Most of you reading this probably know what Cosby Field is. It is the main football/lacrosse/soccer field at Brunswick. It takes place on the far side of the football field, farthest away from the Brunswick Lower School. The Bonfire is to celebrate the greatness of Brunswick and to bring everyone together. This is a great Brunswick tradition and I hope that this great event goes on for as long as possible.
The BPA organized an awesome weekend way to kick off the school year at the Bear Fair event. On October 14, in Burke Field House, you could find the Bear Fair. The Bear Fair was filled with many preschoolers and lower schoolers playing games. Middle schoolers had the option to volunteer at the Bear Fair. There were many games including bean bag toss and BINGO. Each carnival and lawn game gave you tickets that you could spend on small prizes including yoyos and candy. The Bear Fair brought lots of joy to our Brunswick community. Thank you to all the volunteers that helped make this wonderful weekend possible. We look forward to the rest of the school year.
