Football star, Damar Hamlin, on the Buffalo Bills was injured on Monday night's football showdown against the Bengals. Tee Higgins hit Damar Hamlin. Medical attention was immediately provided seconds after he collapsed. He was carried out by ambulance to a local hospital. The game was suspended about an hour after the incident. 

Damar Hamlin was in the hospital for three days. His family did not want the video playing anymore because it was sad. People were constantly checking in because we were all so worried. This incident is so rare you have to hit the chest in a particular spot at a certain speed. 

A few days afterward he finally woke up. His family was so thankful for this miracle. When he woke up Damar asked "Who won?” and the doctors answered, “You did. You won life.” He immediately smiled. The football game would not proceed, but we are so thankful for this blessing and that he is okay. There are no updates on when he will return to play.

 The Animal Service Club held a fundraiser in January, to gather funds and pet food. This was for the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary. The funds were gathered from each grade in the Brunswick Middle School. All together we gathered $1,420 the funds gathered helped 4 people get into the program. All of this made it one of the most successful fundraisers of the year.
