Hello there!

Thank you for checking out my website. I am Gabrielle Schmidt, your child's kindergarten teacher. Here is a little bit about myself.

This is my fourth year in Kindergarten; two at Brookside Elementary. I am excited to continue this journey at Eastwood Elementary for a second year! When I first joined the Big Rapids team, I was the 3rd-5th Grade Learn from Home teacher. Teaching three grade levels through a computer was crazy, but I learned so much about technology integration in education. Previously, I was a Pre-K teacher for three years at Ferris State University. I love teaching this age group and the energy they bring to the classroom! That's why I'm so excited to have your child in kindergarten.

I am a Cheboygan Area High School graduate (2014), and I have lived in the Big Rapids area for ten years. I graduated from Ferris State University and fell in love with this community! I currently live with my fiancé and love living next to the river! It's perfect for boat rides, fishing, and taking longs walks around. We have one cat, Mo Mittens, who is three years old.

This will be my last year as Ms. Schmidt. Next year, I will be Mrs. Enszer!
