THIS IS A NEW SERVICE, PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY
One of the ways the BAI supports the creative production of students in courses is by maintaining a small fleet of digital media equipment like cameras, audio recorders, tripods, and lights that can be checked out. Currently, all CATS members (which can include students, staff, and instructors) are eligible to use our checkout service.
To gain acess to this service, users must first become a CATS Member via a short online orientation. Members must then complete the Equipment Checkout Training, which can be found at the bottom of this page. Lastly, certain equipment will require additional training, such as use of the Lumix S5 Mark II cameras. While the EQ Training is short, we recommend you complete it well ahead of time of your media project, as processing the training can take up to 4 business days. Emergencies will not be accommodated.

Students may ask to extend their check-in return date once per check out, but must physically return the equipment to the checkout to do so. Failure to do so may result in a temporary suspension for use of this service
Students may be restricted in taking out the same equipment more than twice in a row based on demand.
