Need to film something quickly? The Capture Studio is a convenient, 24/7 recording space perfect for small shoots. With built-in lights, camera, and microphone it’s designed for streamlined video or audio creation. It is also home to our multi-user editing station for group video editing.

The main feature of the Capture Studio is a easy-to-use video setup with installed lights, camera and microphones you can start recording in a couple of clickers. We also have several backdrops including a green screen you can choose from. The studio is also a great space to record audio in a sound treated space.
Perfect for team projects or to review your work in a quiet space, the Multi-user Editing Station can be reserved the same way as the Capture Studio. The station is equipment with a powerful Mac Studio computer, 50-inch television, high-quality speakers and wireless keyboard and mouse.
You should bring a USB-C flash drive to save your files. Your drive should...
...have at least 16GBs of storage
...have at least 150 mbps of read/write speed
Here is a USB-C drive we use.
As a backup we have a secured USB-C drive that you can use to transfer your videos onto a personal device.
A reservation and prior training is required to use the space.
We recommend overestimating the time you will need when making the reservation, just to be safe.
Do not knock, swipe or walk into the studio before your reservation time, as someone may be finishing their session.
Plan ahead, as you need to be cleaned up and ready to leave the studio at least 10 mins before the end of your reservation.

The capture studio is back online as of 11/01/24. We currently can not provide white seamless paper, but we do have green paper, and black curtain backdrops.

The studio is filled with hanging reference posters throughout the space which will give you step-by-step instructions on how to use different portions of the studio.
If all else fails, there should be a lightstand with a mobile phone holder in the studio. You can use your phone as a back up and still take advantage of the lights and backdrops
